Day (-2) Thursday 6/19
Added some Alfa Romeo good luck emblems to the cars because we’re going to need it. . In 1923, driver Ugo Sivocci, seeking good fortune, painted a four-leaf clover on his Alfa Romeo race car for the Targa Florio race. He won, and the clover became a symbol of the brand, initially for racing and later for high-performance production models.
Both cars passed our tech inspections giving my word to pick up a missing fire extinguisher on car #100 before race day. We did our first speedometer calibration run after 2 hours debating on which formula to use to adjust our time wise speedometers. Check. That is all figured out now. Throttle Garage is 10x more prepared than we were last year. Here are some pics of the evening welcome reception and X-cup auction. They even brought in Wayne Carini.
